Flipkart Big Billion Days sale starts from September 23

As India is set to usher into the times of festivities, e-commerce giants are gearing up with their sales and offers. After Amazon, now Flipkart has announced the dates for its 9th edition of its flagship event the Big Billion Days sale. It starts on the same date as Amazon’s Great India Festival i.e. September 23. The Big Billion Days sale will last until September 30, 2022.

Flipkart during the sale will let shoppers pre-book products across various categories such as electronics, home, beauty and more by paying Rs 1 as a token advance. The sale will also include a gamification experience through ‘Coupon Rain’ which will allow customers the opportunity to play with their family and friends, and get rewards.


Flipkart will give discounts, cashbacks, bank offers and more across various categories during the sale period. There will be offers on several leading smartphone brands like Poco, Realme, Samsung and Vivo. The company will give upto 80 percent off on electronic and accessories and more. Flipkart will give upto 10% instant discount with bank cards during the sale. Users will also get additional discounts and cashback offers on the final payment.

National Cinema Day will be held on 23 September

  Over 4,000 screens at multiplexes from across the country, including PVR, INOX, Cinepolis, Carnival, and Delite, have teamed up to offer a 'celebratory admission price' of ₹75 to mark National Cinema Day. In an official notification, the MIA said that on request from various stakeholders and in order to maximize participation, the  National Cinema Day  will now be held on 23 September. It seems that much like the US, theatres in India too is aiming towards creating a National Cinema Day where movie lovers will get to watch their favourite films in amazingly slashed prices on the big screen. For the unversed, earlier this month, the US organised for a National Cinema Day on September 3, where every moviegoer had to pay only $3 to enjoy films on the big screen. The one-day nationwide promotion was offered on more than 30,000 screens in more than 3,000 theaters, including the major chains of AMC and Regal Cinemas.

“Ted Lasso” joins ranks of the most celebrated comedies in history with back-to-back Emmy wins

  Tonight at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, the beloved Apple TV+ hit series “Ted Lasso” joined the ranks of comedy legends with its win for Outstanding Comedy Series for its first and second seasons, becoming only the eighth series in the genre in 74 years of Emmy history to do so.
